Who We Are
The National Council for Volunteering in Israel (CVI) is Israel's premier volunteer organization. CVI is a non-profit agency and is responsible for compiling various information concerning volunteers and volunteering and for publishing this information on their English and Hebrew portals.
Who We Are Looking For
CVI is looking for an educated, responsible, and hardworking volunteer to help them update and manage their English website. Fluency in English is required, and any knowledge of the Hebrew language is encouraged.
The volunteer's responsibilities would include:
- Compiling and publishing articles about volunteering
- Compiling and publishing volunteer opportunities for various organizations
- Updating existing volunteer opportunities and volunteer organizations
- Contacting various organizations to ask them about their upcoming volunteer opportunities
- Update the upcoming events on the website
All work will be done on computer, therefore we request that all volunteers are comfortable with using computers. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Internet Explorer is required; any experience with website management is a plus.
This is a great position for all those aspiring to work in journalism and public relations.
The hours are flexible (generally between 15-20 per week), but we ask that all volunteers stay for a minimum of 6 weeks in order to make an adequate contribution to the website.
Training will be given to all volunteers during their first week at the agency. Volunteers will work closely with the CVI's full-time staff in order to make all appropriate changes and updates to the website.
The CVI office is located in Tel Aviv on HaChashmal Street.
