The Shield of the Minister of Environmental Protection is awarded by the Ministry of Environmental Protection (http://www.sviva.gov.il/bin/en.jsp?enPage=e_homePage) and by the National Council for Volunteerism in Israel.

Each year, 12 volunteers who dedicated themselves to creating a cleaner environment are chosen by a committee and awarded this shield.
